See below for how to change your DNS configuration if you are on a broadband (wireless) connection or if you have a Macintosh


Windows XP

  1. Click on Start Connect to... Show all connections
  2. Right-click on Local Area Connection (under LAN or High-Speed Internet)
  3. Click on Properties
  4. On the General tab, select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and click on Properties:

  5. If you have "Obtain DNS server automatically" selected, Select "Use the following DNS server addresses.   There are also instructions for a Linksys router below.
  6. If you have "Use the following DNS server addresses" selected,  either type over them with   69.111.95.106 and 206.196.151.153 or  click on the Advanced button

  7. Click on the DNS tab
  8. If you have numbers listed already (as shown), select one number at a time to highlight it, and click on the Remove button.  Repeat until the DNS server addresses field is completely blank.

  9. Click on the Add... button.

  10. Type over whatever numbers may be pre-filled with the first DNS address for your area: 69.111.95.106 and 206.196.151.153
  11. Click Add.
  12. Repeat step 9 and 10 to add the first and second DNS numbers of  69.111.95.106 and 206.196.151.153
  13. Click Ok or Close several times and close the Network and Internet Connections window.

Linksys Router

  1. Log into your router using your gateway address
    To find your gateway address do
    1. Click on StartRun... ► type in the letters cmd and hit Enter or click Ok.
    2. At the command prompt (e.g. C:\Windows\>), type in the command ipconfig and hit enter.
    3. Look for the line that says default gateway:

                  Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
                  IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.7
                  Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
                  Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.1

  2. Enter the default gateway address into the address line of Internet Explorer (or any browser, such as Netscape)

  3. Enter user id of admin with a password of admin
    Note: if the above user and password do not work, try user id of admin with a password of 1234
    or of couse use your user name and password you ma have entered.
  4. On the first screen after logging in, you should see Internet Setup (this is on the Basic Setup screen)
  5. Find the DNS server IP's and change all three to  69.111.95.106 and 206.196.151.153  and 69.111.95.107
    Save changes
